Love Only

“If you love only those who loves you, what reward is there for that? Even corrupt tax payers do that much. If you are kind only to your friends, how are you different from anyone else?” (NLT) -Matthew 5:46-47

As God’s people, we are representatives of the difference He has made in our lives. If we behave the way nonbelievers do, how does this glorify God? It’s often difficult and ironic to love those who have hurt you in some way, whether it’s a coworker or even your father or mother. However, it’s amazing how much peace comes to you when you learn to replace resentment with love.

  1. I totally agree. The absence of resentment, letting go of grudges does brings you peace and takes away the burden of having to carry around all the negativity. It’s not the easiest thing though, to let go. It requires a special kind of strength.
